Mineral lick with live yeast from Levucell®
PROBIOTIC, due to its live yeast content, has a digestive and immune-boosting effect.
Effects + Benefits:
- Live yeasts increase the digestibility of the fiber structure (crude fiber) of hay or straw.
- Boosting the immune system
- Improved quality of colostrum
- Increased fertility
- Strengthening the body's defenses against laminitis (hoof laminitis)
- Ideal for strengthening senior horses
Effects and benefits specifically for horses:
Live yeasts increase fiber digestion.
The live yeasts in PROBIOTIC improve the digestibility of the fiber structure (crude fiber) in hay or straw. These fibers must be digested in the cecum and large intestine. Coarse hay, however, requires a very high level of activity from the crude fiber-digesting bacteria in the large intestine. The cellulose-splitting microorganisms in the large intestine are stabilized by the added live yeast, thus improving digestive activity. Particularly in horses prone to loose stools, especially during transitions from pasture to hay and straw, feeding live yeast can be very beneficial.
Live yeasts have an immunogenic and antimicrobial effect on the horse.
The live yeast cells in PROBIOTIC provide non-specific stimulation of the immune system. Due to their unique glycoprotein structure on the cell surface, they trigger defense reactions that strengthen the horse's active immune defenses. Supplementing with live yeast supports the barrier function of the intestinal mucosa. These yeasts are also able to... to bind bacterial toxins and that Attachment of various pathogens to the intestinal wall of the horse to suppress or to promote their elimination.
Senior horses:
PROBIOTIC, with its live yeasts, supports sluggish digestion and the immune system in senior or weakened horses. It also helps meet the often increased need for minerals and vitamins in older horses (e.g., zinc, vitamins E and A).
Mineral feed for horses, cattle, goats, and game.
