The horse, a steppe animal, has become a loyal companion to humans. Consequently, its husbandry and feeding practices have changed, which unfortunately doesn't always have a positive impact on the horse's health. These days, horses are often fed too much energy. High grain content is often combined with a low intake of crude fiber and vital nutrients. AlpenGrün Muesli can help.
Alpengrün Muesli is a grain- and molasses-free muesli for natural and species-appropriate horse feeding. The carefully selected composition of highly digestible fiber, combined with root vegetables, fruit, leaves, and flowers, enhances the horse's diet.
AGROBS' AlpenGrün Muesli is made from grasses and herbs from biodiverse meadows, harvested at their optimal time and then gently dried with warm air. This preserves the fiber structure. AlpenGrün Muesli thus not only ensures an optimal supply of crude fiber, but its structure also promotes chewing and supports intestinal health. Marigold and cornflower blossoms, raspberry and blackberry leaves, and rosehips provide a wealth of natural vital nutrients. Sunflower seeds, flaxseeds, and black cumin serve as a source of essential fatty acids; the mucilage they contain also aids digestion.
With AlpenGrün Muesli, horse owners consciously avoid grains, bran, and molasses. Furthermore, they make a healthy contribution to their horse's feed ration. Due to its low starch and sugar content, AlpenGrün Muesli is also suitable for sensitive horses and those with metabolic issues.

Feeding recommendation
Depending on the type of horse and its performance
- As sole concentrated feed : approx. 100-500 g daily per 100 kg target body weight
- To supplement conventional trough feed : 1 kg of AlpenGrün muesli replaces approximately 1 kg of grain.
AGROBS recommends: introduce feed slowly. If necessary, during feed changes, for fast eaters and older horses, horses with dental problems, and in cases of low water intake, we advise moistening or soaking the feed in general.
For mineral supply, we recommend an AGROBS® mineral feed that is suitable for your horse and its needs.
