The most important feature of the One is its vertically raised, ergonomic knee pads. These knee pads take thigh support to the next level. Their high placement ensures support for the thigh significantly higher than conventional knee pads. At the same time, the shape of the knee pads ensures that the knee itself is not restricted.
Another special feature of the One saddle is that the normally double-layered "aprons" above the stirrup bar have been replaced by a single layer of leather that flows seamlessly into the seat and saddle flap. Hence the name "One" (one layer). This creates the feeling of a narrower waist in the saddle, thereby improving contact with the horse, enhancing stability, and allowing the rider to position their leg more directly against the horse. A discreet opening at the stirrup bar allows for external attachment of the stirrup leather. The upper leather section above the knee rolls features an elegant design.
These innovations make a noticeable difference to a correct seat and balanced posture, enabling subtle and nuanced weight aids. Furthermore, they create a very close connection with the horse – a feeling that is difficult to describe and must be experienced.
The One is built on the B-tree. A saddle tree that combines the best of different worlds: namely the angled gullet plate, which offers extra shoulder freedom for the horse, the wide gullet, which provides full freedom of movement for the horse's back muscles, and finally the angle of the supports in the middle of the tree, which allows for very close contact with the horse.
The close contact with the horse that this saddle offers is ideal in situations where it is really important to show the horse at its very best, for example at tournaments or licensing events.
