Pavo ProteinPlus
With low-quality roughage, grain-free feeding, or increased protein requirements (such as in sport horses or older horses), your horse often doesn't get enough protein to meet its daily needs. Pavo ProteinPlus contains essential amino acids and specifically addresses deficiencies to support your horse's health.
Why horses need sufficient protein
Proteins are made up of individual building blocks called amino acids and are needed by the body to build structures. They serve as universal building blocks and are important for numerous bodily processes, such as the immune system, coat and hoof growth, and cell regeneration. Furthermore, proteins are essential for muscle development, numerous hormone functions, foal growth, lactation in broodmares, and for horses that are underweight despite sufficient roughage. An adequate protein intake therefore supports the overall health of your horse.
When protein supplementation is beneficial
Numerous analyses show that the protein content of roughage is steadily decreasing, meaning that roughage alone often no longer meets the protein requirements. If, in addition, the concentrated feed ration is protein-reduced, or if the requirement increases due to age or athletic performance, your horse needs an additional protein source to ensure adequate nutrition.
Pavo ProteinPlus is the ideal supplement for low-protein roughage and/or concentrated feed diets and increased protein requirements. It contains the essential amino acids lysine, methionine, and threonine as pure additives; all other essential amino acids are covered by the other ingredients, providing your horse with optimal, high-quality protein.
